To my sister in Christ, If you’ve ever found yourself questioning what God is doing in your life, this is for you.
There have been moments in my life when I didn’t understand what God was doing. But as I reflect, I can now see that God was not trying to harm me; He was revealing His power in me. God has allowed circumstances to take place in my life, not to destroy me, but to prosper me. I’ve come to realize something: if God never allowed trials, tribulations, and challenges to come into our lives, how else would we come to truly know His power?
His Word reminds us in Jeremiah 29:11 that He knew the plan before we were even formed:
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
That means every season had a purpose.
The Word of God makes it clear that He is not only with us, but He delivers us.
In Psalms
34:17, it says:
“The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; He delivers them from all their troubles.”
That alone lets me know that God’s intent has always been to make me stronger, wiser, and to increase my faith.
But the enemy has tried.
He has lied to me all my life, telling me what I can’t do, making things appear harder than they really are, and planting seeds of doubt, fear, and insecurity. But not anymore.
I now recognize the voice of the enemy, and I refuse to come into agreement with it.
The Word says in 2 Corinthians 10:5 that we are to cast down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God. So that’s exactly what I do, I overthrow every lie.
And I replace it with truth.
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” — Philippians 4:13
That is not just a scripture I say… that is a truth I live by. God’s power lives in me. His strength operates through me. His Spirit is working for me. And because of that, I will not be defeated.
The Word says in Romans 8:37:
“know, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.”
So I stand on that truth.
I am not what I’ve been through. I am not what the enemy said about me. I am who God says I am. I am stronger. I am wiser. I am being transformed. And I am more than a conqueror...
What lie has tried to take root in your heart, and how is God calling you to stand on His truth today?
-May you be reminded today that God’s hand is on your life, even in the midst of what you don’t understand. He is strengthening you, growing you, and revealing His power through you.
